Here’s one more thing that Peter Drucker had right. Effective bosses focus on contribution.
Contribution is how what you do affects others. What’s your contribution to your team? What’s your team’s contribution to its customers? What difference do you make?
To focus on contribution you must look outside yourself and outside your team. No matter how efficient you are, it doesn’t count if you’re not making a positive difference.
