What is innovation?

Innovation is combining and modifying ideas to come up with ways to do things better.

Why is innovation important to business?

Innovation is important to business because it provides a source of competitive advantage.

Who is creative?

All human beings are creative and generate new ideas naturally.

If all human beings are creative, why do we need these lessons?

We need these lessons because parents, teachers, and bosses have taught most people that good ideas only come to very smart and special people, like parents, teachers, and bosses.

What is the first commandment of creativity and innovation?

The first commandment of creativity and innovation is this: let people share ideas. Only from this will they develop helpful innovations.

What is the second commandment of creativity and innovation?

The second commandment of creativity and innovation is this: no one can tell how good an idea is without trying it. Live trials trump deep thoughts.

What is the third commandment of creativity and innovation?

The third commandment of creativity and innovation is this: no innovation is done until the users have their say, for no one ever gets it right the first time.

What is the fourth commandment of creativity and innovation?

The fourth commandment of creativity and innovation is this: share thy ideas liberally so that continual innovation happens and profits rain down like waters.
