Boss’s Tip of the Week: Use your weekend for good

  |   Boss Print Friendly and PDF

Your weekend shouldn’t be two more regular work days. That’s a sure road to burnout. Make sure you do something this weekend that has nothing to do with work. Here are some suggestions.

Do something special with someone you love.

Devote time to a non-work task that absorbs you.

Do something special for yourself.

Read for fun.

Take a nap.

Do nothing.

This is only one of 347 tips in my ebook, Become a Better Boss One Tip at a Time.

I’d add that leaders not only need to take time for themselves over the weekend, but also periodically throughout the day. Leaders who take the time to decompress and relax are better able to respond to unexpected stressors or emergencies more effectively.
