Books by Business Leaders

Asking people to share their experience is a great way to learn. To learn even more, read books that describe how other people have dealt with situations that might be similar to your own. Here are some business books that you may enjoy.

Who Says Elephants Can't Dance?: Leading a Great Enterprise through Dramatic Change by Louis V. Gerstner about his time at IBM.

Jack: Straight from the Gut by Jack Welch is about that legendary CEO's career at GE.

You'll find a lot of great advice in the book Winning, also by Jack Welch. This book developed out of the questions that audience members asked Welch at his many speaking engagements. It's got good practical focus. You'll find a lot that's helpful here, no matter what size organization you're in.

Direct from Dell: Strategies that Revolutionized an Industry by Michael Dell is a good and candid look at Dell's startup and the mistakes made along the growth trail.
