You may think they’re not paying attention, but they are. If you’re the boss, your team members listen to what you say and they watch what you do. They’re looking for clues to what you like and approve and what you don’t like so they can choose the best way for them to act.

As George Patton said, if you’re a boss, “You’re always on parade.” You’re setting an example every day. Make it a good one.
